1. Create searchable titles

Most people use YouTube’s search bar to find content, so it’s essential to consider this when naming your videos. Your titles should include keywords that viewers are likely to search for when looking for the information your video provides.

You’ll need to select keywords and include them in your titles and descriptions to show up when users search for videos on your topic. As you build your channel with SEO, your videos may start to show up in Google search results, too.

Since you only have only 50 characters of your title to work with, you have to make them count. Be as concise as you can, while letting users know exactly what they can expect from watching your video.

2. Write a script

Videos are most effective when they are organized with a detailed script to keep you on track. A logical flow makes your video more useful to viewers, increasing the likelihood that they will become subscribers. Include as much detail as possible in your script, and keep your target audience in mind as you create it.

3. Post consistently

Posting videos on a regular schedule signals to viewers that you are a reliable source of new content, increasing the likelihood that they will subscribe to your channel. As people begin to anticipate your content, subscribing ensures they won’t miss out. This sense of expectation helps you build a solid audience for future videos. Maintaining a consistent schedule is an excellent strategy for gaining and retaining subscribers.

4. Deliver what users are looking for

Think of it this way: If your viewer only watches the first eight seconds, which information is crucial for them to hear?

People don’t want to waste their time, so it’s your job to deliver valuable content immediately. Consider shortening your introduction and getting straight to the point.

For example, if you’re making a tutorial video, dive right into the steps without explaining why the task matters or who will be demonstrating it.

Keep your videos simple, informative, and entertaining. The goal of building your subscriber base is to encourage viewers to return to your channel. Therefore, you don’t need to share every detail in one video. Save some information for future content to keep your audience coming back for more.

5. Ask your viewers to subscribe

It may sound obvious, but you should always ask your viewers to subscribe at the end of each video. Viewers want to be told what to do next. When the video they’re watching is coming to an end, include a call-to-action to subscribe.

The easier you make it for viewers to subscribe, the more likely they’ll be to keep coming back and watching your videos in the future.

This is an easy way to both communicate with viewers and grow your YouTube channel.
